Going to be doing a little upgrading on my brother's computer this week. BrianZ got him a code for WGC.

Currently he has a Athlon II X2-220 2.8Ghz dual core eMachines running Win7 and I'm upgrading him from 2 to 4Gb ram, a 240Gb SSD and adding a HD7750 1Gb video card to replace the onboard graphics. On minimum to medium settings will WGC run decently on that? Been a while since I ran the game on something like that.

I may be upgrading him to a i3-3220/Z77 mobo and 8Gb ram soon but wanted to know if he can play on the X2-220 for now. Getting him setup w/teamspeak so we may have one more on Friday nights.

I ended up saying screw it and got him an i3-3225/ASRock Z77 Pro4-m from MicroCenter. Put that with the 7750 plus the stuff I had in my "closet o' parts" (8Gb DDR3-1600, 240Gb SSD, 500Gb HDD, case w/500w PSU) he'll have a decent setup that he can upgrade the CPU and video card easily from in the future. Going over to his place Friday afternoon and getting it setup for him. Already installed his copy of WGC2011 (thanks to BrianZ for the free key), all the courses I have and Teamspeak so if he likes the game we should see him on Friday nights soon.
