2010 Season

Post by Polslad »

I'm currently 3/4s of the way through playing the 2010 season schedule from the download available from this site, and all of a sudden, my player is 'illegible for this round'!
Anyone else come across this?
The player lists are greyed out on the menu screen, but I can still select the tour list, it just won't let me play.

By the way, Merry Christmas everyone, I hope you are enjoying your day.

Someone else complained about this a few years ago but I don't recall if he ever found or posted a remedy.

Two things I would suggest. First, a registry repair. If that doesn't fix it then save your personal and players folders, remove them from the bin, make a few AI players and a new one for you, then go to Seasons and see if they're "eligible." IF you haven't actually started a first round, you can go all the way to the final "start game" button without harming the integrity of your tourney.

If you make it to that point, quit, reinstall your player/player list into the bin and try again.

I've never created a season going beyond 25 events so I guess I'm falling short of the problem, whatever it may be. Good luck.

To do what I 'm about to tell you you must not have played the opening round. Go into your PGA golf and click season. Then click edit season next. Clicl on your 2010 tour and click edit. Any events not started will be highlighted in white and can be edited. You can change most anything including course conditions and so on. Click the event you want to edit then click the edit event button. On the far left side it says rounds and eligibilty. Click on the eligbility button and make sure that it does'nt have certain restrictions as who can play in the tournament in question. You can edit this screen with the buttons below the window. Got to go.

Do you know, in the 10+ years I've been playing this game, I never knew that eligibility button was there!
Must have seen it thousands of times, but never clicked it.
