Hi all,

It's been quite a while since I've played a round of cybergolf - must have been 2 years or so. But the other day I loaded up PGA2000 and played a few rounds, and man had I forgotten how awesome this game is.

I guess it's spring comming that made me think about golf. I can certainly feel the urge to get out on the real fairways again (which probably still is a couple of weeks away here i Denmark). Maybe I should have a go at the arcitect again until that.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say hi.

... and bwt: which new courses from the last 2 years should I download :)

Hey Stefan,

Good to hear from you. Billabong Sanctuary is still a course I frequent a lot! The community here is growing - there have been some excellent designs put out there in the last two years; including a Robert Wagers/Terry Grayson combined effort that is pretty neat, some splendid contest courses and a recent Zager design that rocks. The girls and I love Cougil's Keep by Indy Anna - some say it is her best design to date and that is a reccomendation right there.

I would say just about all of the courses released in the past two years are worth a play. There aren't many active designers left, but all but a couple are quite seasoned now and the quality of the work IMO is pretty extraordinary, and even the few newby/freshman designs are pretty good. Somehow the bar keeps getting set higher and higher and we still haven't found the total potential of this old designer/game.

Btw, welcome back Stefan! :wavey:

Hey Stefan, nice to see you again. I tried to send you my new course Peninsula State Park to play test back in December but your e-mail bounced back. Hope you'll check it out now. Look forward to seeing you around, I've always enjoyed your designs.

Thanks for all the course suggestions - I'll start out with Peninsula State Park Brian (I changed my email adress about 1 year ago to stefanhojgaard(at)gmail.com btw - that's why it bounced).

God I hate your avatar Links. It just makes me want to... to... be you! :bg:

Anyhow, I played a few rounds on my own course Johanne Golf Club, which was the last I released before my temporary retirement, and I actually wasn't very satisfed with it - so I've decided to update it. Also this seems a bit more manageble that starting out on a new course.

I wondered - whould any of you care to play a couple of rounds at Johanne GC (playtest it if you will) and give me your candid opinion on what should be changed?
