Tiger won the Chevron World Challenge at Sherwood this past weekend. You'd think it was suddenly a major from the hype. I can't help but think that it's not that big a deal when he's had so much sucess there in the past. Just wondering what anyone else though.

ADC! Although Tiger is playing better I think the field consisted of 18 players, I know it was really small. He lost in a playoff last season at the same event and did'nt do crap this season. I guess time will tell if he wins again next season but I believe his time of dominating other players is over. What always has puzzled me is if your concidered the best golfer in the world why do you continue to mess around with swing changes every few years. MAKES NO SINCE TO ME.

I have always been a fan of Tiger, but Tiger the golfer not Tiger the slut! His talent on the golf course has always been something to behold. Other than the swing changes, I believe this bad stretch he's been in is a result of him just not playing golf. It wouldn't surprise me that after the whole sex scandal went down, he just stopped playing for quite a while. He got rusty. I don't care how good you are, you have to play and practice to stay on your game. As far as swing changes go, there are a ton of guys on tour that are constantly working on their swing. Take Padraig Harrington, he's basically been going through a swing change since he started playing golf, constantly tweaking his mechanics. However, I agree with Steve, I don't understand it. Perhaps it's as simple as the best just wanting to be better.

One has a choice. One can watch everything but golf when Woods is playing, or one can tune in when Woods isn't on the course and enjoy watching the game and the competition. The Tigernetwork, CBS and Mrs. Tiger Nance aren't going to give you both choices. NBC isn't quite as bad, at least they do show 2 or 3 other golfers, although all 3 of the networks will let you know exactly what he's doing at any given time.

It's been a pleasant 2 years, especially this last one. I hope it's not over.

Ok, I admit it. I had the Chevron tourney on in the background when I was playing golf on sunday. I did glance at the TV from time to time to see how they were doing. It did get pretty entertaining the last couple holes when Zach Johnson was charging. But of course, it was obvious that everyone was rooting for Tiger.

Truth is, except for competition like the Ryder Cup, watching golf on TV is hazardous to your health... you might bang your head when you nod off. In a word, it is boooooring to watch. No doubt more people watch when Tiger is in contention and that is exactly why the networks hype it so much... ratings=advertising dollars... pure and simple.

There has always been something special about Tiger Woods. He was a phenom, no doubt. But, in my humble opinion, he has seen his better days. His head isn't in the game like it once was. Plus, injuries have taken a heavy toll. I have my doubts if he will ever win another major. Most people would kill to have his game, but as pros go, he is fairly average right now.

I have no real animosity for Tiger Woods - the match was exciting, tension was there at the end. The network covered him this week because he was a part of the leaderboard and won it in the last two holes. I am as happy for him as anyone else when they are able to walk away from 72 holes of a wonderful sport on a picturesque course with a large sum of money. I wish I had such opportunities - not to have all that money but to play the course and compete with others at a top level. Good to see him back in contention. I was rooting for Zach Johnson though - my wife and I were disappointed when he lost - he is truly a nice guy.

I enjoy watching true professionals no matter what the game or occupation. Tiger Woods is not a true professional .I agree 100 percent with Indys comments including those about CBS and Jim Nance. Well said Judy. Spencer.

I actually turned it on Golf Channel late Sunday and cause the majority of the last round...

What I noticed is this: The look in Tigers eyes was different Sunday than it has been in well over a year....Its that complete concentration look, the one
where he is steely eyed and so focused that he looks tense...I haven't seen that in a long long time....

Dont know where he goes, but if he is that focused, and his ball striking is getting better and better, and his putting is too..Watch out..

I dont care for his antics on the course sometimes, and I could do without the GD's and all that coming out of his mouth
