In the Course Reviews topic, we have 2 Robert@ courses mentioned right now. Spencer relived Seasons for us, and I brought back Wildflower. With so many choices from Robert, I'm just curious....what is your favorite Robert@ course?

I'll have to think about it myself, since they are all so good!

oh man! How do you choose?

By my count, Robert@ has solo-designed 60 courses and co-designed 2 others. I have 49 of those on my A-List. Talk about consistent quality... wow.

I can only narrow it down to four best-of-the-best choices (only my personal opinion of course)
Lighthouse Bay
Montecristo
Rock of America
Stranglehold

The other 45 on my A-List are:
All American GC
American Eagle
Ash Hills CC
Bad Axe
Badlands
Black Widow By Robert@
Blue Lagoon
Blue Ridge Mountain
Bushwacker
Cades Cove
Casa Bella Golf Course
Copperhead
Crazy Horse
Crop Circle Canyon
Desert Shores GC
Driftwood
Eagles Cry
Eden Valley by Robert
Excaliber
Fall in Angel Golf Course
Gull Island GC
Heavens Gate
Iron Horse
Knotty Pines
Life
Little Girl Ranch
Machete GC
Napa Valley
Nautical Mile
Oakland Hills
Ottumwa GC
PGA @ Club
Quarry Canyon
Rockaway
Screaming Eagle
Seasons
South Pacific GC
Stone Pony
Stonecarver
Stormbay

Wow! Thats an almost impossible choice. I haven't played every Robert@ course but my current top 5 would be Montecristo, Bushwacker, Cade's Cove, Oakland Hills and Stranglehold. Anyone should enjoy those but I haven't been disappointed in any that I have played.

I don't know if I could narrow it down to a single course without going back and playing them all one right after the other, but I'll try my best to rank them as best I can. If these courses I listed were the only courses I had to play, I would have enough variety and playability to keep me loving the game.

1. Montecristo
2. Black Widow
3. Cade's Cove
4. Napa Valley
5. Stonecarver
6. Rock of America
7. Rockaway
8. Excaliber
9. Eden Valley
10. Seasons
11. Stranglehold
12. American Eagle
13. Wildflower
14. Casa Bella
15. Fall In Angel
16. Copperhead
17. Screaming Eagle
18. South Pacific
19. Eagles Cry
20. Bushwhacker

I've just begun to delve into the body of work Robert has given us. I played Seasons and Wildflower this weekend. I know I have played a couple others, but couldn't tell you which ones. I loved Seasons! The feel of that course is perfect and I love fall golf! I need to get crackin' on the others on this long list, perhaps I'll have a favorite soon.

Wow, I just had a run at Montecristo! I have no idea how he does it!! The elevation work of the cliffs and rock faces is outstanding, as well as the planting. That's what I notice most about Robert's courses, his planting is perfect! I feel so far behind this man's talent, but it just makes me want to design more! :bg:

Agreed - Oakland Hills would be my pick if I had to go with just one.
