Hi Guys,
as our newest member, Sundance has not been privy to our year-long FedUp Cup Handicap and Stableford events before. So, I will provide updates after each tournament.
I'm sure he will be happy with our first update!
Cheers
Brad

Hi Guys,
Juan has selected a couple of excellent Don Macfarlane courses for us to play in our third tournament of 2025. He has asked me to select the conditions under which we will play. While he indicated that he likes playing off the black tees, I think playing some different tees is also very interesting and a bit more fun. Don, as the designer, even suggests that you try the blue tees on Busch Hollow.
So, here we go:
https://golfsimclubhouse.com/jack/jn6/f ... lowGBC.zip
Rd1: Medium/Hard/Pin 1/Black Tee
Rd 2: Medium/Normal/Pin 4/Blue Tee

Rd 3: Mild/Soft/Pin 2/Black Tee
Rd 4: Medium/Normal/Pin 3/White Tee
Enjoy
Brad
Two outstanding courses. Don is such an excellent designer and his courses are rich in detail. Looking forward to these two!!

Wow, you guys have all kinds of scoring going on. With the scores I've put up so far in my rounds it has to be my handicap that is putting me up in the scoring because it sure isn't my golfing. I am making adjustments though. I've found that the click meter works better for me lower in the screen. That sounds trivial but it has made a big difference. I'm getting used to the speed but my concentration lags at times which is obvious with quite a few of my shots. It's amazing how similar my real golf game is to my sim game though I only get out there a few times a year nowadays.

Steve,
you are doing just fine and dandy. Your handicap will be all over the place for a while, until you get a lot more rounds under your belt, so I'm looking forward to seeing how your second tournament affects your overall standing. I suspect you'll still be travelling pretty well.
Interestingly, I have my click meter down the bottom of the screen and find it really comfortable.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
just played my first round at Busch Hollow. This is a really challenging course. Make sure you bring your best putter, because getting close to the hole can be quite an effort on some of these holes. Beautiful course, however.
A word of warning, the black tee on Hole 13 is not perfectly flat. As this is a Par 3, you need to take this into consideration. This is why I always check the tees before I play my tee shot.
Cheers
Brad

Just played a practice round at Busch Hollow. Whew, with those fairway slopes and hard surfaces this is going to be a tough round. Another aspect for my learning curve is the different surfaces. Still trying to get the handle on the winds. On a side note this is a fantastic course by Don!!

A couple bad tee shots and an unlucky lip out on 17 for this round. Those greens are tough to stick with the hard surface. Very challenging course. Rd 1 at Busch Hollow complete!
