WorldSwing Week 48
Second Venue
Druid's Glen
7121. That many yards on this par 71 course created Oct 2010 by Del "Breezer" Skilton. Druid's Glen, the "Augusta" of Ireland is a real world course in County Wicklow, Ireland. Its just a bike ride south of Dublin.
From the wiki:
"The "Druids Glen Golf Course", opened in 1995,[3] and was the venue for the Irish Open between 1996 and 1999, and the 2002 Seve Trophy. The second course on the site is the "Druids Heath Golf Course", which opened in 2003 and has hosted 'the Irish PGA'."
Breezer (w/Charlene) brought us Mount Kongur at the beginning portion of our tour amongst a couple handful of other courses.
Enjoy a couple of rounds here, and beware of tough putting! Overall, I think the fog makes the course look better, masking the distant backgrounds a bit for a more realism. The layout is good.
I will be detouring us back to England to catch a makeup round at Charlie Robert's Kilcairn Bay. Somehow I forgot we had a tee time there. So after that, will come back to finish up our little hop in Ireland.

Tarheel's .round files
Nearly island green umber 17, with a tough pin to stick guarded by sand and a steep hill up front, but requiring a 3 iron to take the green with a tight front placed pin. Good luck!
No 13, dogleg right, seen on approach
Tee from number 18.
