I enjoy, where possible, playing PGA2000 and Links2003 courses concurrently. It adds a new dimensions to the Golf Simulation experience. Here is a graphic of Augusta #7. I can create pics of other holes and courses if anyone is interested,
Cheers, Dave

Yeah, not really digging the compare thing. I'd prefer to just see posted pics of PGA 2000 on this forum - Links has its own forum for posting dazzling pics and hyping up its players. When I want a Links fix, I'll go over there. BUT, I do appreciate you Dave and the effort you make to be a part of this community here. I certainly do not mean to discourage your enthusiasm for Links or PGA. I hope this does not come off as harsh or mean spirited either - that is not my intention.

Sandwedge;
Thanks for your candid response. I enjoy both sims, but really got back into playing vitual golf regularly, when I realized I could start them both up and play concurrently. The purpose of the pic was to show an example of that and also I thought the actual photo added to the pic. Main point was that I enjoy hitting a shot in one game then switching to the other to hit the same shot (or a very different one - depending on the results of the tee shots). It wouldn't be fair to suggest that one version of a course doesn't look as good as the other, as that is quite often dependant on the skill of the individual designer. I certainly consider the latest PGA2000 version of Muirefield Village as realistic as the latest Links 2003 version, and it's a real treat to be able to play them concurrently.
Cheers, Dave

Dave! Thanks for the positive comments about Muirfield Village. I found your pic comparisons interesting. I believe you had Davids (Polslad) version of Augusta National. See how the older 2001 version of Augusta National looks compared to the other pics. The course was a tad shorter back then, but I still consider Augusta National 2001 as one of the best recreations and overall courses released for PGA2000.

Steve, thanks for the info on the other (older) version of Augusta. I will download it and have a look. It's tough for those of us that came late to this site to catch up, as there are hundreds of courses to check out. I started out picking rhandomly off the "A" list, but wasn't that excited about the few I played. Then when you released MV shortly after the latest Links version, I got the idea to try to play alternate shots (between the two Games) on the same course. So whenever I have had a chance, I've been downloading matching 'Real" courses, but I am still way behind in playing them concurrently (or otherwise). To paraphrase Madonna "So many courses, so little time"
Cheers, Dave
