I want to say Hi to you all and that I have decided to reload the game and hopefully figure out how to design once again. The cold winter has arrived and I am completely bored and need my hobby once again. I dabbled with TW designing a couple years ago but I was bored and left.

Now I need a little help getting to work. I reinstalled the game in my laptop and downloaded all the courses and libs I had saved over the years.... I cant remember if Ihave to leave a disc in the drive to play or not as when I try to play a game I get error when it tries loading the course.

I need a quick refresher guys

Merry xmas!! :)

Hi Stan, Unfortunatly I do not remember to much about designing and I had completely wiped all the courses libs and the game. Maybe within a few weeks if the winter blahs get to me I will take an interest in getting back to it. I want to play courses locally but I need to keep disk 2 in the drive for the game towork, but what happens is that the game runs slow as it waits to access whatever off the disk. I remember there was a patch so you would not need the disk but I cant find it.

How has everyone been...are the core guys still around?

Gab you should find patch 3.3.4.5 in the Utilities section. Is it possible that or something from your second disk didn't get installed that the game needs to operate independently? I haven't needed to run a disk since I got the game (except I did like to watch the intro once in a while.)

Gab

When you installed, you probably left it on recommended.. If you did you have to leave disc 2 in to play! should have chosen FULL INSTALL!!!

Welcome back bro...

Hi Gab, welcome back. It's good to hear from you. Don't worry, designing is like riding a bike once you learn you never forget.

Yo Gab,

It's great to hear from you. It's even greater to hear that you are thinking about designing again. We still play your courses all the time. It's hard to believe but your last course was in 2008.

If I can do anything to help in getting you up on Kali or Teamspeak, just let me know.

Welcome back,
Dar

Note: If you are running windows Vista or Windows 7, you won't be able to run in Kali. Mother Microsoft removed IPX support after Windows XP and IPX is what Kali uses as a packet protocol.

I'm running xp and I did a full install, Strange as it sounds. If I reinstall the game at this point will it see all libs and courses or do I have to uninstall and reinstall everything?

When you uninstall it's going to wipe out everything, but if you put your unzipped courses and libes into a folder separate from PGA they'll be left untouched. Then it's just a matter of reinstalling from those files (ie, no downloading necessary.)
I'm not sure if there's an intermediate step that'll allow you to install just those files you didn't get the first time around; maybe someone else can answer that. Everytime I've had to reinstall my game's been in such a mess I didn't have a choice and I always did the full installation.
