Hi Guys,

just watched Juan's Rd 4. He had the worst possible start, with a double bogey on the first, but fought back really well, with some great recovery shots from the long grass and a couple of chip ins. The gloss was taken off his efforts a bit, with a bogey on the last, but still a very solid round on a tough course.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

just watched Randy's Rd 3, which I think is best described as steady, without being spectacular. A lot of 4's which he would normally turn into a lot of 3's, but that's what Purgatory Creek can do to you. I was impressed with his 5 on the Par 5 11th, given where a couple of his shots ended up!

Here are the Rd 3 results. I seem to have had more than my share of good luck on all four of these courses. The FedUp Cup scores will be interesting at the end of this tournament. They could be a bit tighter.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

it is with a tinge of sadness that we complete the Charlie Roberts Testimonial Tournament. I'm sure you'll all agree that these have been some of the best and toughest courses we have played and I hope you all kept Charlie in your thoughts as you enjoyed the challenges they posed.

It became obvious that Cuchulainn's protection was its ten Par 4's, and so it proved, with only 15 birdies out of 50 holes played between us.

Given Charlie's library of courses, I'm sure we will be visiting more of his creations at some time in the future. Thank you Charlie for giving us such gems to play on!

The Rd 4 scores are below, with a two way tie in the handicap event and a three way tie in the Stableford event. You can't get much better competition than that. (Two very dodgy putts for Randy cost him two shots, which would have made it a three way and four way tie respectively.)

As I said, Lady Luck was smiling on me in these rounds, which helped me to a clean sweep of the tournament results and also allowed the first to last gap in the FedUp Cup to be cut in half from 20 points down to 10. Tarheel's good form saw him take over the lead in the FedUp Cup standings, but only by a single point from Randy.

Onwards now to Steve Holden's Prospect Pass and Golden Gate Heights. I'm sure, like me, you are looking forward to these little beauties!

Cheers

Brad
