Not sure I've ever played Cutter's Peg. This was a fun challenge, especially after playing two courses on the links (North Head, Liverpool). These forest courses really take more finesse and I found myself getting in trouble a few times choosing power over strategy.
Round 1
EDIT: I played this course three times in 2004 and scored 59, 60 and 61. Not sure what the conditions were of course. As the rounds were played within a few days of each other, it was obviously during a ‘tour’ Looks like back in the day I got an eagle on 4 and an ace on hole 8! I'll attach the ace from 2004 if I have it
For fun, if I got the right file, this is my ace from 20 years ago on hole 8 at Cutters Peg! Funny the identifier as "ws-001" Was I running the WorldSwing tour back in 2004? I really didnt think so, but maybe I did? Or was it some other JN tour?
I'm so glad I was able to salvage all these files from my old computer
Its like opening a time capsule.

Here is round 2 at Cutter's Peg. I think playing recently in strong and gusty winds really helped my target practice with short irons. This is a really fun golf course. The uneven tees didnt cause too much of a problem. I usually check the tees every time I tee off, so its part of the routine.

Hi Guys,
if you want to win the Stroke event at Cutters Peg and Apple Isle, you had better bring your best game. Tarheel has shot an absolute ripper in Rd 2, that needs to be seen to be believed. His accuracy these days is impressive, often sticking his approach shots within inches of the hole.
Thanks for the challenge Brad!
Galen obviously still has some real life issues which are preventing him from completing his final round at Mark Twain, Not to worry! We will keep that tourney open until he can find the time to complete his round, and in the mean time, we will move onto the next event.
Cheers
Brad

Round 4 at Mark Twain. Bogey free and that's okay by me.

Round 3. I have not played Apple Isle in ages. This is a really special course. Looking forward to round 4!
Great choices this time.

Hi Guys,
well, we finally have the Alluring Lakes and Mark Twain tourney completed. Galen put in a bogey free round in Rd 4 that saw him hit plenty of rough, but then play really good recovery shots to post a very acceptable score. None of us however, could hold a candle to Tarheel, who got a clean sweep of all the honours in Rd 4 and through his great final round managed to take home the overall Stroke trophy.
I said it was going to be close, and it was. Randy, despite having his handicap jump by a massive three shots in Rd 4, managed to hold off Tarheel and Galen by 0.5 of a shot in the Handicap event and Tarheel by a mere 0.2 points in the Stableford contest. It doesn't get much closer than that.
A really good tourney on two very good courses. Well chosen Juan.
On to Cutter's Peg and Apple Isle.
Cheers
Brad
Here are the final results:

Hi Guys,
just watched Tarheel's Rd 3 at Apple Isle. Believe me, he is determined to take out the Stroke Championship again, and will certainly give the other two titles a run.
You are playing beautifully Brad!
Cheers

Hi Guys,
a quick update on the FedUp Cup sees Randy leading the comp at the moment, but only 20 points separates the whole field. Given Randy's handicap has just gone up by three shots, I suspect this gap may just start to close. We'll see.
Cheers
