At the New Grampians Inn course in Victoria, Australia, a penalty of one stroke is added if the golfer hits a kangaroo.
Apparently, there are more kangaroos at the Yeppon Golf Club in Queensland. The local rule on that course is : " A ball hitting a kangaroo - - - play as is."

Before the 14-club limit was introduced, it was not unusual to find some professionals carrying 25 or 30 clubs in the bag. At one tournament, Henry Picard was hitting shots at the range. He switched from one 2-iron to another and a man in the gallery asked, " Henry, what's the difference between that 2-iron and the other one ?" " Two yards, " replied Picard.
