In 1966, Arnold Palmer had a seven-shot lead with nine holes to play in the U.S. Open at The Olympic Club. Palmer remained bold, trying to break Ben Hogan's tournament record, and lost the lead. Palmer also lost the next day's playoff to Billy Casper and never won another major championship.
