Playing at the Guam Navy Golf Club on January 3, 1982, after a typhoon had just past , Chief Petty Officer Kevin Murray had a 40-mph wind to deal with, and it certainly helped him on the 647 - yard par 5. Hitting on a hard fairway with the wind at his back, his drive was later measured at 387 yards. Then Kevin hit a 4-iron, which bounced and rolled about 20 yards before falling into the cup for the longest double-eagle (albatross) ever recorded.
