Hi Guys,

just watched Randy and Galen slog it out in Rd 1 at Kittery Point. If you only watch one match this year, make it this one. This is one of the most entertaining contests I have watched, as it went to and fro for the whole match. I won't tell you the result, you'll have to watch it yourselves.

I also played my first round at Mephisto Bay. This has always been one of my favourite courses, but it does have its draw backs, in that four of the tees are far from flat. So, be warned, when playing Holes 1, 8, 12 and 18, as your tee shots will be affected. I dread to think how hard this course is going to be in strong winds in Rd 2. (Thanks Tarheel! )

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

here's my Rd 2 at Mephisto Bay. I approached this round with some trepidation, given the strong winds, but thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. I used up a year's worth of good luck in this round, hitting several trees and ending up in very good positions, especially on the 17th. Added to that, my trusty putter was on fire, so I had a much better round than I had originally anticipated.

I think we should play in strong winds more often, the challenge of working out the wind effect on each shot is really a lot of fun. :bg:

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

in the hope of getting you some more rounds to play against, can I please ask Randy to select our next courses and conditions. I will endeavour to get all four rounds done before we go away.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Guys,

in another example that our handicap system works, here are the results for Round 1 at Kittery Point. Doesn't get much closer than this.

Hi Guys,

here's my Rd 3 at Eagles Nest Wilderness. This is a truly beautiful looking course, with some wonderfully challenging holes. Of course, you would expect nothing less from such a talented group of designers. A bit easier off the blue tees in medium winds. I suspect off the black tees in mild winds, some of these holes are going to be brutes to reach. I will find out soon enough.

Cheers

Hi Guys,

here's my final round at Eagles Nest Wilderness. I am happy with the score, but boy, did I have to work for it. There are some very challenging pin placements this round and if you don't get your approach in the right spot, you can have some difficult putts to negotiate.

Tough, but enjoyable, challenge.

Cheers
