The "Downloads" pages 'issues'

Post by Blade »

Hi Brian,

I noticed today that I am still listed as the creator of the Low Poly Custom Grass Objects when I think it was BJ.

I also noticed that on the Course downloads pages that any Golf Course that has a name that starts with the word "The" and "La" seems to get numerous entries. From what I can see 'The Old Course' holds the record with 4 entries. Here are just some examples listed below, but there are probably others.......

Whoops, I think I probably changed that on the site but not in my spreadsheet so after I made some other changes and recreated the page from the spreadsheet again it reverted back. I've changed it in the spreadsheet and fixed the page now.

As for the multiple entries this was intentional. The idea is if you're looking for a specific course you’re pretty much guaranteed to find it. For example if you’re looking for The Celtic Manor you can find it in the T's or the C's. It also applies to courses with "at" in the name so that if you are looking for St. Andrews under S, The Old Course at St. Andrews falls under S. It also happens to start with the, and it is named Fife Old in the game, so that's how it ends up in 4 different places. If you look on the front courses page there is a note about when courses show up multiple times. I did it the same way for the PGA 2000 listings and it worked out well, although maybe it made more sense there since there are 1,630 courses for PGA 2000 and only 109 here. If you want a listing of courses without duplicates you can download the spreadsheet I made to create the site off the utilities page. It has one sheet with duplicates and one without. If you think I should just list them once on the site I can do that too easily enough.
