Here's the concept:
12 designers design a nine hole course, one hole at a time. A panel of judges sets the criteria for each hole's look/length/landscaping/terrain/etc. Each designer designs the hole according to the criteria of the challenge. Designers have a certain amount of time to complete a challenge, after which all hole designs are reviewed by the panel of judges, who will eliminate one designer per hole challenge, and name one challenge winner per hole. After the ninth challenge, three designers will remain standing. These three designers then create the entire back nine to the course in a set amount of time, with the panel of judges golfing the finished courses and naming a winner.
I'm all in.

Re: Design Contest: PROJECT FAIRWAY
Interesting idea Joe but their is almost know way we can get a commitment from (12) designers. Last contest had (5) and getting 7 more seems very unlikely. I'm not even sure we have 12 designers left in PGA 2000.
