“I was taught one time that in this world everything with it head down gets eaten, Pigs and cows get eaten, leopards don’t. Leopards have their heads up. You never saw Hogan with his head down. Nicklaus never had his head down. They walk in a room and they’re looking. Like good boxers. Losers have their heads down; winners have their heads up.”

Lee Trevino and Denis Watson were struck by lighning during a tournament round. When Trevino returned to the tour a reporter asked him how he would make certain that it never happened again. He stated that whenever he saw the clouds forming he would walk down the middle of the fairway with his 1 iron over his head because even the good lord cant hit a 1 iron.

“Caddies are a breed of their own. If you shoot 66, they say, ‘Man, we shot 66!’ But go out and shoot 77 and they say, ‘Hell, he shot 77!’”
