Royal Melbourne
I have started on elevation work for Royal Melbourne. I have added an image below to show the first hole that I am working on, and there is an image of the actual hole in the bottom left corner of it. The textures may change a little but not much. Planting will change a bit. I have just put some planting on it at the moment for effect.
Hopefully will be done in a couple of months.

Re: Royal Melbourne
Hey Craig,
I applaud anyone who decides to take on designing Royal Melbourne. I'm a Melbourne native myself, so this course is of particular interest to me. In fact I've started it in both JN6 and PGA a couple of times, but given my ridiculous attention to detail I haven't gotten too far with it. I need a good topo map to give it a serious shot, but I haven't found and free ones online... yet.
If you need any help, please let me know and I'll do my best to provide any assistance I possibly can.
If you don't mind, may I ask how you're going about the terrain shapes (tees, greens, fairways, etc...), elevations and objects.
Keep plugging away and take your time, don't rush it. Everyone here would much rather wait for a good polished release than settle for something you're not satisfied with.

Re: Royal Melbourne
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the encouragement. The course is on the backburner for now, just until I get some more time to get stuck in again.
I'm recording the Presidents Cup at the moment to get plenty more info on it, and will get the course up and running again soon, in full setup from the Cup.

Very nice work, pat. Er Craig. Very, very close to the photograph.
I wonder if this is what Adam had in mind when he posted his contest idea? For one hole, that is.

Yep, exactly what I had in mind Indy! Keep in mind it doesn't have to be a hole, it could be a single bunker or a water feature even.
Keep it up Craig, I love the style of this course, a Mackenzie masterpiece!!
