Hi Guys,

just played my Rd 2 at Hollow Trails against Galen. It was nice to have somebody to play with on this terrific course. Had a good round in the mild conditions.

Cheers

Brad

Quick question guys, what's your average drive off the tee?

I use the very fast meter which is hard enough hitting the bottom blue without power driving. So I average perhaps 270 yards.

Thanks Galen. I use the fast meter as well and power drives are very difficult for me to control. Trying to lay out a course and landing area can be difficult with different driving techniques. I've asked this question on several occasions over the years and always get a variety of answers but this group are all excellent players so I thought it would be a good question. Thanks for responding.

Hi Steve,

I use the medium meter, but go all the way to the end, to get maximum distance. I regularly outdrive Galen, so I guess I'm up near the 290-300 mark on average. I tried the fast meter, but my reflexes aren't that good.

Cheers

Thanks Brad. I always thought that the slower the speed the less distance you could get from your clubs so I never tried the lesser speeds. You learn something new everyday.

Hi Guys,

Robyn and I are off to Canberra on Wednesday for her 50 year school reunion, so you have another couple of weeks to catch up on some of the rounds you haven't yet played. (Please.)

Cheers

Hi Guys,

just a reminder that you don't have to catch up on all those rounds you haven't yet played. The scoring spreadsheet allows me to discount un-played rounds, without any penalty to you. I just need to know which rounds/tournaments you definitely won't be playing.

I hope you all rejoin the tour and this doesn't signal the end of our little competition. I appreciate life often gets in the way, but hopefully we can all get back to the first tee soon.

Cheers
