Barton Creek

Post by Polslad »

Just 'rediscovered' this gem from Dale Somerfelt.
One of the all time top 3 quality in my opinion.
Beautifully built, pleasing on the eye, and a very enjoyable round.

Excellent.

I'll have to give Barton Creek another chance next season. I have it rated at (88 B+). Can't remember how long ago it was when I played it.

Barton Creek is one of my faves too. All the real courses from Dale are awesome.

Thanks for the great comments. I use Barton Creek for my Texas stop on tour.

Took me awhile to get here. I kept meaning to restore my user, but first I had to get Norton Anti-Virus to understand that this was a safe site. Although now I question that after seeing some 'porn course' listed on some of the forums here.

Still playing this game after all these years and still enjoying the new courses. As retirement draws closer maybe I'll fire up the architect and finish up some of the projects I still have around.

I few years back I took on 'The Golf Club 2019' game, doing some real courses around me. I loved the look of the courses but was just not satisfied with how one must play the game 'on-line' or against someone's saved game. I didn't have enough control over Tournament seasons. With PGA 2000 I've enjoyed playing against computer opponents and setting up a full season and have been playing this way since forever.

To all still here, I salute those who keep this game alive. Further thought: Any course by Polslad is a gem and is always deserving on my "A+" list.

Re: Barton Creek - Saving Season Play

Post by huskydude »

Hi,

I've been trying out PGA2000 and was wondering how to conduct Season play? I started a Season, was playing in the first round and decided to call it a night at Hole #6. When I tried to save the "Season/Game" in progress, PGA2000 stated that I could save my game, but scores would not be applied to Season upon resuming the game...

Is there anyway around this issue, or is it that I must at least complete the entire 18 Holes in the current game before saving?

Any assistance would be appreciated.
Warmest regards,
Husky

huskydude !
I just completed my 18th season of my own creation, 47 or 48 tournaments in a season. I recommend trying to finish a round, however if you must stop hit control alt delete on your keyboard at the same time. Then open your task manager and at the top area under apps should have PGA2000 as an app that's running.
Right click your mouse on the PGA2000 in your task manager and select "end task". This will shut down
PGA2000 and your computer should save your progress where you left off.
Always right click to open PGA2000 and select "Run as Administrator" this helps ensure that it runs correctly.
If continuing a game when you do this a window should pop up asking if you want to continue your game. Hope this helps.
